Norman is delighted to be bringing home a collection of awards from the Sheffield festival of Beer by the Society of Independent Brewers (SIBA). This is one of the biggest national events in the beer industry calendar with speakers, beer festival, judging and awards at national level.
We had three beers in the three categories and got three awards so Norman is quite chuffed!

Look out for our newest addition to the Orkney Brewery range. 1878 - the year the original school house, which houses the Orkney Brewery, was built - is a full bodied auburn beer with big fruit and spice hop aromas.
Head Brewer Andrew says this is nicely balanced by a soft sweet malt background. It is a 5.5% Ale made from malted rye and USA hops.
New to the bottled range and launched in time for Shetland's Up Helly Aa, Norseman is a strong and lively pale ale at 4.4% abv.
Currently only available in Orkney and Shetland but casks being brought out nationally in the spring time.
PHILADELPHIA & NEW YORK CITY - COMMENCING 24TH JAN
Calling all Vikings and Craft Ale enthusiasts.... We are launching our much loved Skull Splitter on draft for the first time. Starting in Philadelphia at P.O.P.E. at 7.00pm on January 24th our very own Norman Sinclair will be attending the official launch of his highly sought after brew. He is so excited about the launch as the bottles have being going down a treat for years. He says "Skull Splitter is a hugely popular beer because it is packed so full of flavour that most tastes find appealing."
After leaving Philly it's onto New York City to carry on spreading the word. Various outlets are eagerly awaiting their new draft ale and we'll get details of where you can find it soon.
If anyone would like more info (press/ outlets/ followers etc etc) please contact christine@sinclairbreweries.co.uk and we'll do our best to point you in the direction of where you can find this new taste sensation.
Celebrate St Andrew's day with Orkney Brewery's own ANDREW'S ALE.
At 4.3% abv, it's a light beer brewed with Brewers Gold and Cacade hops giving hints of citrus fruit and a light spicy finish.
Andrew and the team have created a brand new ale to tempt you with. Their ORKNEY No. 1 is a tawny colour ale with lively fruit & hop characters at 4.3% abv.
Hope you enjoy!
We are delighted to announce that Corncrake will shortly be available in 500ml bottles.
Launched last year in cask this 4.3 % abv straw gold coloured beer has proved so popular that we have decided to add it to our bottled ale range.
It is named after the rare bird which enjoys the natural habitats of Orkney and a donation from the sale of each bottle will go to support the RSPB's conservation work in Scotland.
We do hope that you enjoy your first 'sighting' of this ale and would be delighted to hear what you think.
